Inspections has adopted Horizon as its’ primary method of comprehensive
reporting systems. Horizon is an electronic, web-based, state of the art
reporting system. Inspections are performed with the additional use of
digital camera photos, that are taken during the inspection. These
photos are later uploaded to the report during the processing and
publishing stages. These photos are typically for identification of
different features and components, as well as indicating repairs,
conditions, and specific recommendations of the various items,
components, systems or issues. Horizon reports are all corresponded
through email. Clients will initially receive a confirmation email that
includes the Inspection Agreement, Limitations and Conditions of the
inspection, Scope of the inspection, and a reference link to the CAHPI –
Ontario Standards of Practice. Inspection reports are processed and then
published within 24 hours of performing the inspection. Clients will
receive a second email which informs them that the report is ready. This
email will have a link that you click on to access the report. Also
included within the report are highlighted links to reference materials
for the various items, components, and systems. Horizon reports are
quite a bit more detailed than the written reports with the Home
Reference Book.
